A Commercial Financial Controller is required by one of Northampton’s premier employers. This is a newly created role & as such there is an opportunity to create your own stamp on a growing & successful business.
Your key duties will include,
• You will be expected to take a proactive role recommending actions throughout the year to improve performance.
• To identify commercial opportunities and enable management to make informed decisions.
• Monitoring financial performance of teams and setting robust and challenging targets to maximise cost savings within the Department teams.
• Preparation of presentation materials / reporting for the Director to take to the Board.
• Coordinate and lead the finance team to deliver high standard, complete and accurate results on time.
• Working with the managements accounts teams and finance team ensure integrity of the financial systems and underlying results
This is a key appointment for the business, so it is likely that you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or overseas equivalent. You will have strong analytical and problem solving skills, with a demonstrable ability to analyse data, think flexibly, identify issues and develop options using financial models. You will be a natural communicator, with the ability to synthesise complicated issues, structure arguments, and influence senior stakeholders both verbally and using written reports and presentations.
