Head of Accounting

At Robert Walters, we are looking for a Chief of Accounting for an international industrial company based in Zaragoza. This is a unique opportunity to join a strategic project with strong growth potential and international projection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply IFRS, Spanish accounting standards, and local tax obligations.
• Supervise and evaluate daily accounting activities.
• Draft and maintain internal accounting policies and procedures.
• Review complex contracts and assess their accounting treatment and associated risks.
• Coordinate the year-end closing process with internal and external auditors.
• Ensure full compliance with all fiscal and tax obligations.
• Prepare financial statements, including cash flow statements.
• Improve accounting processes, tools, and systems to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information.
• Collaborate closely with the finance team in areas such as financial planning, funding, and monthly/year-end closings.
• Report key financial information to shareholders in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in similar roles, ideally in the industrial sector.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS, Spanish tax regulations, and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Intermediate level of English is a must; Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
• A versatile and autonomous profile, comfortable working both in startup-like environments and within multinational corporate structures.
