Director of FP&A

Multinational healthcare company based in Madrid is looking for a Director of FP&A to join its global finance leadership team.

The role will play a key part in driving financial performance, strengthening controlling capabilities and supporting strategic decision-making across an international footprint.

This position sits at the intersection of finance, operations and business strategy, partnering closely with senior leadership while working with finance teams across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the financial planning and analysis process across several international markets, including budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning.
• Partner with business and operations leaders to translate financial insights into strategic decisions.
• Oversee performance analysis and financial reporting, ensuring transparency around key drivers of profitability and growth.
• Drive cost and margin improvement initiatives in collaboration with commercial and operational teams.
• Provide strong financial visibility across manufacturing and operational environments, working closely with plant and operations finance.
• Coordinate with regional finance teams to ensure consistency of financial processes, data and analysis.
• Contribute to the evolution of finance capabilities, including automation, analytics and improved decision-support tools.

Candidate Profile

• Significant experience in FP&A, business controlling or finance leadership roles.
• Previous exposure to pharmaceutical or healthcare environments is strongly preferred.
• Background in plant controlling or manufacturing finance within pharma is highly valued.
• Experience working in international or multi-country environments.
• Strong understanding of financial performance management, budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis.
• Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders and influence business decisions through financial insight.
• Hands-on approach with a strong analytical mindset.
