French-speaking Controller/Accountant

Multinational company, is looking for a French speaking controller/Accountant with at least 5 years of experience in the financial area.

Responsibilities:

• Understand financial KPI’s (profitability, Opex, Capex, working capital, cash flow,…).
• Being able to see trends in numbers and show the ability to analyze them.
• Responsible for the monthly closing process respecting the group accounting principles and in line with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Identify potential risks and propose solutions.
• Analyse balance sheet and result accounts with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Point of contact for local tax authorities.
• Prepare and file local annual accounts.
• Prepare and file local tax declarations.
• Point of contact for internal and external audit.
• Close cooperation with service teams, stakeholders, management, audit teams, finance partners, middle office.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years relevant experience in an international environment.
• Knowledge on Accounting principles of French GAAP.
• Knowledge on SAP (transactional and Business Intelligence).
• Good knowledge of English language both in writing as verbal
• Proficiency or higher level of French
• Ability to develop and implement new procedures or to adapt existing procedures to meet the specialised needs
• Take end-to-end ownership within domain and also take indirect leadership
