Multinational chemical company is looking for an Account Receivable Controller to join its team.

Responsible for managing the financial accounting and control activities of the business unit to ensure that financial transactions, policies and procedures to achieve the business objectives of the unit and comply with Spanish legal requirements.

Responsible for creating and maintaining an internal control environment.

Responsible for processing accounts receivable, shipping risk and sales insurance operational transactions.

Follow up of commission agents and customer advances.

Main Responsibilities

Ensures accuracy of master data and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and systems.
Responsible for having a good understanding of general accounting for business operations.

Support year-end or other audit processes with external auditors.
Perform daily processing of accounting transactions to ensure that unit/account level financials are maintained in an effective, up-to-date and accurate manner. Performs reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and period end activities.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
o Consultant role in the company's bank accounts to be able to follow up on the collections received.
o Responsible for the follow-up and proposal of the company's bad debt provisioning with the validation of the Finance Controller.
o Responsible for the monthly reporting of the company's ageing.

RISK OF SHIPMENTS
o Generation of the shipment risk file and daily maintenance of the same.
o Responsible for updating the support data for decision making together with the Finance Controller.

MANAGEMENT TO ENSURE COLLECTION
o Notification and reporting of monthly sales to our clients.
o Administrative management with our clients related to claims, request for extensions, extension of coverage, new clients.
o Monitoring of limits status in SAP system.

TREASURY and COLLECTIONS
o Responsible for bank reconciliation with Accounts Receivable.
o Treasury support related to bank reconciliation in SAP.
o Participation in Treasury projects

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or related degree in Accounting and Finance.
- 4-7 years of experience in accounting or financial roles.
- Advanced English. Portuguese is appreciated.
- SAP with User level experience
- Microsoft Office (Excel and Power BI)
