Financial Controller

We are looking for a Financial Controller to set up and lead the finance department of a technology startup company based in Barcelona. Reporting to the CEO and COO, you will be responsible for setting up the finance functions effectively from scratch, and be the point of contact in the company for investors.

Main responsibilities:

- Preparation of the company's income statement, cash flow and other financial reports.
- Analysis of revenues and costs, and monitoring of suppliers.
- Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual economic and financial reports.
- Participation in budget processes and preparation of financial projections.
- Treasury management and debt monitoring (management of relations with banks).
- Managing financial transactions.
- Responsible for the Profit and Loss Account and the Official Balance Sheet, coordinating and leading the relationship with the accounting firms.
- Responsible for all legal, tax, labour and accounting compliance of the company, coordinating and leading the relationship with external advisors.
- Financial analysis of new business opportunities.

Requirements:

- Around 10 years of professional experience, with proven experience in accounting and financial control functions, preferably in a start-up or small company.
- Ability to adapt to new tasks and deadlines in a very demanding environment. Strong analytical and organisational skills. Agile, collaborative and autonomous working style. Resilience. Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations well.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
