Director of WHSEQ

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Director of WHSEQ to join a leading European solar energy developer. This role is based in Madrid, and we welcome applicants from other cities and European locations, as a relocation packag be offered.

About the Role:
As the Director of WHSEQ, you will report directly to the Executive Director of Engineering, Construction, and WHSEQ. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with our WHSEQ Management system, coordinating and overseeing WHSEQ activities and follow-up actions. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring the sustainability and social due diligence of our suppliers and contractors throughout the lifecycle of our Solar Projects.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Ensure compliance with WHSEQ Management system
✅ Coordinate and oversee WHSEQ activities and follow-up actions
✅ Conduct sustainability and social due diligence on suppliers and contractors
✅ Drive continuous improvement initiatives in WHSEQ processes
✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of WHSEQ standards
✅ Travel regularly to various project locations (approximately once a month)

Requirements:
🔹 Proven experience in WHSEQ management, preferably in the renewable energy sector
🔹 Strong leadership skills and ability to lead a team effectively
🔹 Excellent knowledge of WHSEQ regulations and standards
🔹 Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
🔹 Willingness to travel regularly for project visits
