Hardware Engineer

From the Engineering division of Robert Walters, we are looking for a Hardware Engineer for an international manufacturing company.

The main responsabilities will be:

- Analyze project requirements.
- Study and design the necessary solutions to meet the requirements given in product development.
- Prepare documentation for new projects.
- Provide support in the preparation of technical documentation of the product (technical manuals).
- Analyze both European and International elevator standards.
- Analyze general regulations applicable to design.
- Coordinate with other departments on comprehensive projects.
- Analyze, contribute and apply global design guidelines and internal regulations.
- Work and develop new projects supported by software platforms.
- Execute and participate on the EVT and DVT tests to validate the hardware and software made before its validation in the system.

Essential Skills:
You hold a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or related technical discipline.

· 5+ years with low-mid ELV DC power supplies development, AC/DC converters, DC/AC converters and related technology.
· Experience on Power electronic PCB & PCBA design.
· Comprehension of general electrical engineering concepts required
· Understanding of power supplies control design, programming and implementation
· Experience with Pspice/Plecs/Matlab/Simulink or similar
· Understanding of elevator systems and codes is a plus
· Demonstrated experience with the use of computer-assisted engineering tools (e.g. Altium Designer) and general knowledge of lab test equipment
· Requires working in lab and test tower, therefore all employees must be willing to adhere to all safety procedures and company safety standards
· Ability to follow algorithms coded in the C programming language
· Understanding of motor drives control design is a plus
· Understanding on digital control algorithms for 2 and 3-phase switching power converters is a plus
