IT Project Manager with Azure (12 month Contract)

Good afternoon, everyone: We´re seeking an IT Project Manager (CONTRACTOR) in Barcelona, Spain. We are seeking to identify a highly experienced IT Project Manager to lead strategic data initiatives for one of our top clients in Barcelona, Spain. The candidate must have a strong background in project management, with at least 7 years of proven experience successfully delivering complex projects. We are specifically looking for someone proactive, hands-on, and capable of driving cross-functional collaboration across diverse business areas. While data expertise, particularly in MS Azure, is a valuable asset, our top priority is securing a candidate with a solid PM foundation and a track record of managing data-related projects. Experience in Azure-based solutions, dashboard creation, AI initiatives, and portal development will be considered a strong plus. The candidate will be involved in a variety of initiatives, including dashboard and process migrations, as well as new use cases across Supply Chain, R&D, Operations, Sustainability, and Finance.

Tasks & Activities:

• Project Planning & Execution: Define objectives, scope, deliverables, and develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies.
• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate teams, assigning tasks, fostering collaboration, and ensuring accountability.
• Stakeholder Management: Identify stakeholders, establish effective communication channels, manage expectations, and address concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
• Resource Management: Optimise resource allocation, coordinate with Solution Design managers, and resolve conflicts to support project progress.
• Performance Monitoring: Track project performance and costs, report progress, and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Risk Management: Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring proactive measures are in place.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards, facilitate User Acceptance Tests, and oversee deliverable transfers.
• Project Closure: Deliver closure reports analysing results, deviations, and lessons learned to improve future project execution.
