Challenging job opportunity to work as Pricing Consultant for a Global IT Retailer company based in Barcelona.
About the position:
The selected professional will in charge of analysing the market and internal business factors to strategically determine product pricing aiming to maximize the business revenue. Working among Sales, Finance and Product Owners, the professional will be in charge of analyse reports and create appropriate materials to expose findings to business.
The position will be based in Barcelona reporting the Pricing and Analytics Manager in US, being focused to define pricing opportunities, leveraging B2B pricing experience to lead clients through sales improvements based on Pricing.
Main responsibilities will be define Pricing strategy based on:
- Analysis and Reporting collecting data from multiple sources, understanding client’s data objectives and translating business need to technical data models.
- Reviewing data output to ensure accuracy working with modelling techniques like Linear/logistic regression, Clustering, Decision and model Trees, ANOVA Model and Price optimization, price elasticity/demand modeling
- Communicating internally and externally to present analytics solutions.
- Work closely with the project manager to manage timings, status and modelling outputs even client communication needs.
To be suitable for the role you should count with a Degree (Bachelor or Master) in a strongly quantitative field such as: Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Econometrics with 3-5 years’ relevant experience or Master’s degree with 1 year relative research/project experience. It is also crucial counting with the ability of understanding client’s objectives and translate business need into the pricing strategies. Knowledge of basic statistics such as standard deviation, mean, being aware of Machine learning and data mining and the ability to speak to its users. In addition, you should also count with experience in analyzing large data sets, identifying trends and patterns preferred, synthesise findings, develop recommendations and communicate results to clients and internal teams and experience with cleaning, aggregating, and pre-processing data from varied sources. Aligned with this, counting with experience using SQL queries for standard as well as ad hoc data mining purposes it is a must.
