Robert Walters is currently representing one of our clients, who is looking to hire a Data Governance Specialist, based in Spain Barcelona. About the Role: As a Data Governance Specialist, you'll primarily focus on establishing and advancing an enterprise-wide data governance framework. Your responsibilities will center around improving data quality, optimizing data processes, and cultivating awareness around data governance. With tools like Informatica, you will also facilitate workshops and interviews with our esteemed clients, ensuring seamless collaboration with partners and various business units. About You: You're a seasoned professional with over 5+ years of experience in data governance. Your expertise spans various sectors, including manufacturing, mining, banking, Public Sector, Healthcare, Public Administration, Transportation, and telecom. You have a proven record of turning IT cost centers into valuable business assets. English and Spanish are essential for this role to ensure effective communication across our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of 3+ technical stakeholders, ensuring the highest quality in deliverable.
• Lead data management assessments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Drive data-related improvement initiatives throughout the business.
• Collaborate actively with clients, partners, and different business units.
• Establish and continuously refine the data governance culture and technology within the organization.
• Advocate for Data Governance best practices and ensure adherence to industry benchmarks.
• Offer strategic advice on the Business Glossary, Master Data policies, and Data lifecycle policies.

Qualifications:
• Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• Comprehensive understanding of Data Governance concepts with previous experience in developing DG frameworks for large organizations.
• Familiarity with data-related regulatory standards and emerging industry trends.
• Practical experience with tools such as Informatica.
• Positive and proactive demeanor.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as necessary.
