International insurance firm has trusted Robert Walters the hiring of a EU IT Program Manager to lead the appropriate adoption and deployment of a Global Assets new framework. As a process for shifting from a model with specific legacy systems in each country to a model with global assets, it also involves the opportunity to shift to an agile and DevOps model (scaled agile) and on top of internal solution, where some of the main set of services/capabilities of the Program are provided/delivered by an external provider making it a key stakeholder to manage.
The EU Program Manager would be responsible for:
Leading and managing the program delivery of IT capabilities to agreed cost, quality and time criteria (as a main contributor to meeting the strategic business objectives of the program),
Establishing and maintaining the IT governance arrangements for the program (and its projects or scale agile components) : defining roles, responsibilities and accountabilities as necessary that align with organisational practice improvements (as a main contributor to the overall program governance),
Steering and coordinating all IT streams involved within the program (different functional domains and technical assets, external companies, entities and departments) to assure seamless integration and deployment of the IT capabilities within the geography’s ecosystem,
Managing the IT program’s budget, progresses, risks and issues and taking corrective measures (as a main contributor to the overall program management),
Influence stakeholders to reach program objectives in converging on a industrialised and standardised IT platform across regions,
Managing the external provider operational relationship.
With almost 15 years of experience, 5 in large/international program management, the ideal candidate should count with both strategic and practical/technical approach to deliver concrete results and to structure the environment in order to make actions happen. It would also be appreciated if the candidate counts with a strong business acumen especially in insurance/assitance sector. In addition, the ideal candidate should count with the ability to deal with multicultural teams, personalities and also count with communications skills at different audience levels, being able to adapt and adjust the speech depending on who is the current speaker. With fluent english, the candidate should have the ability to steer groups over which he/she has no formal authority, promoting when necessary organizational changes for the best Shift program result.
Finally, it will also be very valuable counting with expertise on Agile methodologies (ideally Scaled Agile) and frameworks, and also a strong financial background.
