IT Service Delivery Consultant (12-month Contract)
Purpose
Ensure that the technology requirements of the business are understood to enable the right solutions to be implemented and supported at an appropriate level of risk and cost.
Responsibilities
* Ensure delivery technology infrastructure, connectivity and service requirements are delivered to agreed levels in conjunction with Business Technology Services.
* Work with the Service Desk to resolve user incidents as needed, being assigned tickets where necessary.
* Manage any web presence the organisation utilises, to ensure its availability and adherence to good practice and ABFI standards.
* Manage any third-party agreements that the business requires and ensure a valid contract and good contract management principles are utilised to control and manage performance, risk and cost-effectiveness.
* Ensure that all security and risk controls are well managed and always observed by the organisation. Initiate and participate in the incident management process as needed.
* Ensure that user hardware is proactively managed to ensure reliable performance and alignment with depreciation timings.
* Provide support to the starters, movers, and leavers processes and ensure the business is engaged with the necessary processes to control risk and service levels.
* Ensure that adequate licencing is in place for technology and services used in the business and that correct records are maintained.
* Engage users in security awareness training in conjunction with the IS Security Manager, being an advocate for adherence to best practices and ABF policy.
* Represent the business within the division as part of the extended IT community and potentially also represent the division in ABF forums. Form effective working relationships with the divisional team and BTS.
* Ensure that all working practices comply with Health and Safety legislation.
* Any other duties relating to the remit of a role of this standing as required by the needs of the business.

Experience / Achievements:
- Significant generalist IT experience ideally gained in various service, technical, project or application roles. Can communicate fluently in English.
- Familiar with Cloud-based platforms and can reference experience of transition projects from on-prem.
- Understanding of networking both LAN, WAN and networking components i.e routers, firewalls etc
- Is competent with change control and Project Management principles and can reference examples of successes/learning
- Has delivered positive outcomes which have improved the use or effectiveness of IT technology
- Experience and passion for how IT can deliver business benefits – can reference examples of how this has been achieved through business partnering.
Qualifications
- Higher level education, ideally in an IT, Science or Business-related subject
- ITIL Awareness / Foundation level – Desirable
- Project management skills/qualification
- Security skills
