Job description:

We are seeking a Financial Director with expertise in cost and corporate accounting to join an international group dedicated to maritime transport. Reporting directly to the company’s chairman and managing director, the successful candidate will oversee a team of five people. He/she will manage a team of five people and oversee key accounting processes, the transition between ERP systems, and the coordination of work teams in a dynamic environment undergoing digital transformation.

Main responsibilities:

• Comprehensive management of cost and company accounting: budget preparation and monitoring for vessels and the head office. Cost control. Control of financial statements and taxation for group companies using ERP tools.
• Active participation in the transition from a maritime sector-specific ERP system to SAP, including payroll management integration.
• Coordinating and providing leadership to multidisciplinary work teams.
• Preparation of reports, analyses and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
• Process optimisation and support in strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related subject.
• Proven experience in cost and corporate accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP and experience of working in ERP environments.
• Experience of migration or system change processes.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
• Leadership, organisational and teamwork skills.
• High level of English essential.
• Experience in the maritime sector would be an advantage.
