Accountant & Senior Accountant

Robert Walters is partnering with a fast-growing international group in the maritime & logistics sector, with operations across Europe. They are strengthening their Barcelona Finance team and hiring for two positions. The company offers real career growth and development opportunities.

Senior Accountant

• Lead and review monthly and annual closings across multiple international entities.
• Own the VAT and tax compliance process across countries, coordinating external advisers and auditors.
• Lead the accounting workstream of an ERP implementation, including data migration, mappings and opening balances.
• Define accounting policies for intercompany, FX, inventory and leases.
• Support the Head of Finance with consolidated reporting and internal controls.
• Guide and review the work of accountants.

Accountant

• Month-end closing, journal entries and reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, intercompany, inventory).
• Review AP/AR and prepare VAT and tax information.
• Support annual closing, audits and the ERP migration.
• Manage lease accounting activities.

What they're looking for

• Experience in international and/or multi-entity accounting. Senior profile: supervisory experience and ERP implementation exposure.
• Solid knowledge of closing, reconciliations and VAT.
• Strong Excel and ERP skills.
• High level of English (daily work with an international team).
• Experience in shipping, logistics or trading is a plus.
