Robotics Team Leader

Robert Walters is looking for a Robotics and Electronics Engineer for an exciting advanced robotics project in the agricultural sector. Our client is a technology company that is transforming agriculture through the development of advanced robotics solutions. Their mission is to revolutionize the agricultural industry through technologies that automate processes, improve farm efficiency, and promote more sustainable and precision agriculture. We are helping them find a Robotics and Electronics Engineer who wants to be part of this innovative project with high social and environmental impact.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 4 engineers, ensuring coordination and achievement of objectives.
• Manage and lead robotics projects from planning through execution.
• Act as the project’s technical leader, making key decisions on design and technological development.
• Develop and maintain robot control software.
• Program navigation and autonomous driving systems based on ROS2.
• Program and integrate with industrial PLCs.
• Develop low-level software for embedded systems.
• Design and develop PCBs and proprietary electronic systems.
• Develop and optimize Battery Management Systems (BMS).
• Implement and manage communication protocols between systems (TCP/IP, Ethernet, CAN Bus).
• Integrate hardware and software across the robot’s different subsystems.

Requirements

• Experience in electronic or robotic systems development.
• Strong programming skills (Python, C/C++, or similar).
• Experience or knowledge of robotics environments such as ROS2.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet, CAN Bus).
• Experience working with industrial PLCs.
• Knowledge of electronics and PCB design.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Proactive, solution-oriented profile with a passion for technological development.
