Networking Engineer- Full remote (English fluent)

As part of its continued growth, the company is looking to recruit an Operational Technology Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain OT systems and infrastructure, ensuring their availability, reliability and security.
• Troubleshoot technical incidents and perform root cause analysis to maintain service continuity.
• Participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of OT solutions associated with renewable energy projects.
• Configure and administer technology infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers and monitoring tools.
• Support OT cybersecurity activities, including vulnerability identification and the implementation of corrective measures.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and technology partners on technical projects and system improvements.
• Contribute to the development of standards, procedures and best practices within the OT function.
• Provide occasional support to operational centres when required.

Requirements

• Experience in the management, implementation and support of IT and/or OT (Operational Technology) infrastructure.
• Practical experience with network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs and network troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity applied to technology infrastructure.
• Experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis and technical problem-solving.
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams, suppliers and a range of stakeholders in an international environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience in OT, SCADA, industrial automation, energy, renewable energy, utilities or critical infrastructure environments.
• Experience with security and networking technologies, particularly Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools, such as Zabbix.
• Knowledge of OT protocols such as Modbus and DNP3.
• Knowledge of OT cybersecurity standards such as IEC 62443 and frameworks such as ISO 27001 / NIST.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Certifications in networking, cybersecurity or cloud technologies (Fortinet, Cisco, Microsoft).

The expected salary range for this position is initially €40,000–€46,000 gross per year, subject to adjustment depending on experience, knowledge and suitability for the role.
