Freelance Embedded Linux / Yocto Engineer – Barcelona We are looking for a Freelance Embedded Linux Engineer to join an international technology project in Barcelona, working on the development and delivery of Linux-based systems for multiple hardware platforms. Main Focus * Develop and customize Yocto-based Linux distributions, including recipes, metadata and custom layers. * Handle BSP bring-up and hardware integration across ARM and x86 platforms. * Improve build and release automation, ensuring fast and consistent software delivery. * Build and enhance automated validation environments, with LAVA experience highly valued. * Troubleshoot low-level Linux, build and integration issues. * Work closely with international R&D, Systems and QA teams. * Promote clean, secure and maintainable engineering practices.

Required Experience

• 3+ years in Embedded Linux / Yocto
• Strong knowledge of Yocto / OpenEmbedded
• Experience with BSPs, boot process and cross-compilation
• Good C programming skills
• ARM32 / ARM64 and x86-64 knowledge
• Git, GitHub, Bash/Shell and Python
• CI/CD and automated testing experience
• LAVA is a strong plus
• Fluent English and comfortable working with international teams
