You’ll build scalable web and API automation with Playwright and TypeScript, integrate tests into GitHub Actions, and use AI coding agents to improve coverage and maintainability. Senior QA Test Automation Engineer — AI-Driven

We are looking for a Senior QA Test Automation Engineer who combines strong coding and automation skills with practical experience using AI agents in quality engineering.

Working within Agile teams, you will collaborate with developers, product managers and fellow QA engineers to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. You will contribute to the automation strategy and build reliable testing solutions that support confident releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.

• Create and maintain automated UI, REST API, integration and end-to-end tests.

• Improve test coverage, execution speed and maintainability.

• Investigate test failures, identify root causes and eliminate flaky tests.

• Develop reusable components and promote quality engineering best practices.

• Perform exploratory testing and system-level validation.

• Integrate automated tests into GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.

• Optimize test execution through parallelization, test selection and workflow improvements.

• Contribute to quality gates that provide fast, reliable feedback before releases.

• Use AI coding agents, such as Claude Code, to generate, refactor, optimize and maintain automation code.

• Apply AI-assisted approaches to test case generation, test data creation, failure investigation and risk-based testing.

Required Experience and Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation engineering.

• Strong practical experience with Playwright and TypeScript.

• Proven experience automating tests for web applications and REST APIs.

• Experience designing, implementing and maintaining automation frameworks.

• Experience with GitHub Actions and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong understanding of test design, automation architecture and quality engineering principles.

• Ability to diagnose automation reliability issues and CI/CD execution failures.

• Experience working within Agile software development teams.

• Strong software engineering and problem-solving skills.

• English proficiency.

AI-Driven Quality Engineering

Hands-on experience with AI coding agents is a core requirement. You should be able to explain how you have used these tools to develop or maintain automated tests, validate generated code and improve testing workflows.
