Technical Business Development Manager
Our client is hiring a Technical Business Development Manager. The company is specialized provider of pharmaceutical development and analytical services.
The company holds an EU-GMP manufacturing authorization for the physico-chemical control of APIs/excipients, drug products and investigational medicinal products. They support pharmaceutical and biotech companies with high-quality, compliant analytical and development solutions throughout the product lifecycle.
We are now looking for a Technical Business Prescriptor to become the internal and external lead for the Biologics activity of the client and combines a strong scientific/technical background in the Biologics space (including analysis) with commercial skills and a solid business network in the pharma sector, ideally in Spain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical understanding & client/internal support:
- Develop a deep understanding of the services, capabilities and technologies in pharmaceutical development and analytics related to Biologics and become the lead for the activity.
- Sales & account management:
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities with pharma, biotech, generic and related companies (primarily in Spain and in the EU).
- Support the full sales cycle: use contacts and the knowledge on the field to guide the BD prospection and make sure that the targets are well defined and suitable.
- Business development & strategy:
- Support the existing BD team in building and expanding a network of contacts in the pharmaceutical, biotech and related industries (R&D, QA/QC, CMC, business development).
- Collect and analyze market feedback (customer needs, competitors, trends) and provide input to the BD team on new service opportunities or strategic partnerships.
Technical background:
University degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related life science. English.
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical development and analytical services for Biologics (e.g. formulation, analytical methods, stability, validation, CMC).
