IT Support Specialist

IT Support Specialist – High Level of English – Based in Madrid Our client, a leading biotechnology company headquartered in Madrid, is seeking a highly motivated and people-oriented IT Support Specialist to join their local team. This position is ideal for someone with strong interpersonal skills and a foundational to intermediate understanding of Microsoft Azure Active Directory (AAD), Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365. The selected candidate will act as a key point of contact for IT user support, resolving technical issues efficiently and with a strong customer service approach. A high level of English (spoken and written) is required, as the role involves supporting users across different regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and account-related issues.

• Assist with account provisioning, access control, group management, and password-related tasks using Azure Active Directory (AAD) and Microsoft Entra ID.

• Support users in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

• Communicate clearly and empathetically with users to resolve IT concerns.

• Document issues and solutions in the ticketing system.

• Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff or external vendors.

• Contribute to onboarding and offboarding processes from an IT perspective.

• Provide both remote and onsite user support as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• High level of English (spoken and written); Spanish fluency is also required.

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Azure Active Directory (user/group management, MFA, conditional access).

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and user support.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Customer-focused mindset and willingness to go the extra mile.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of security practices and access management.

• Previous experience in a technical support role in an international or bilingual environment.
